As for me, it is sacred text and must be followed at all costs. Those who don’t want to follow our Constitution, need to leave this country.
If they don’t like the Constitution then they can amend it something that has been done many many times. The importance of the Constitution is that it is supposed to provide an immutable common foundation on which our legal system is to stand. When we allow purposeful misinterpreting or ignoring the Constitution then we are no longer a nation of law but a nation where the whims of men are the law and individual liberty is never safe.
The Constitution is a covenant, a contract.
The congressman SWORE to uphold and defend this covenant against all enemies, domestic and foreign.
He has violated his oath and exposed himself as an *ENEMY* of the Constitution. As such, he should be arrested for perjury and treason, and brought to justice.
