Tyson denies death threat (update on Shelbyville, TN)
Times-Gazette ^ | Dec. 30, 2010 | Brian Mosely

A Tyson Foods spokesperson stated Wednesday that while graffiti was recently discovered at their Shelbyville facility, media reports about the details are not factual. However the spokesman also stated that federal authorities have been contacted about the matter.

Late last week, Shelbyville police began providing an armed off-duty officer for the Tyson Foods facility after alleged threatening messages reportedly were made.

Nashville television station WSMV reported claims made by an unidentified woman that someone wrote "all Americans must die" on a bathroom wall -- an act that was reportedly preceded by a fire in a woman's restroom inside the plant a week before.

But Tyson Foods spokesperson Gary Mickelson said in a statement that "(c)ontrary to media reports, the graffiti does not include the words "all Americans must die."

"Reports that someone set the women's restroom on fire last week are also not true," Mickelson said. "In addition, Labor Day continues to be a paid holiday at the plant."

But Mickelson also said that the firm is "investigating the discovery of some graffiti in a specific location in our Shelbyville plant last week."

They admit something was written but won't say what. It was obviously something worse than, say, a phone # "for a good time". You don't call the Feds or ask for armed guard over something like that. Tyson leaves questions unanswered with their song-and-dance.

Yes it was really obvious that some sort of threat was made.

Maybe instead of “All Americans must die”, it really said something like: “All Americans and Europeans must die.”

We stopped buy Tyson chicken products *years* ago...

Pay back is a MF for these greedy corrupt companies that hire illegal aliens.

Lets throw a party when this POS company goes under.

Wasn't Tyson the lucky winner of a big ICE illegal alien round-up several years ago?

'Diversity' was, is, and always will be a feel-good failure. Lady Liberty needs to have her torch replaced with a billy club, and I don't give a hoot in hell who gets their 'feelings' hurt. Get out of my yard.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

Whatever was written, Tyson should just say what it was. If it was a threat, the locals should be told, imho. If it wasn’t, they’re just making people think it was by their lack of response. Big mistake either way.

Hey, I’ll supply the party hats and favors! It’ll have to be BYOB, though . . . . it would be a big crowd and I can’t afford THAT much drink. LOL!

Could that article have been any thinner on facts? They just danced around all the obvious questions. You are left with the knowledge that fingers are pointing at some members of the liberal protected class, but only our prior knowledge of Tyson foods and the food processing industry provides any real clues about what this incident is about.

They feathered Clinton’s nest because he allowed them to illegally dump chickenshit in the rivers of Arkansas while governor.

I don’t know why any of them should get subsidies when they’re raking in the dough. That’s OUR (taxpayers) money!
Nothing the gov’t. does makes any sense any more.

Oops. Didn’t even go to the link.
Tyson did get busted big-time for bringing in illegal Mexicans a few years ago. They had a Mexican fella set up who was smuggling them in and when he got busted, he sang like a canary.

After reading the headline, I assumed Mike Tyson got the death threat. I was wondering what took Holyfield so long. ;)

I agree I made a poor choice of articles. Here's a better one. The Tyson executives were later found not guilty of conspiracy to smuggle illegal aliens.
