RIYADH (Zawya Dow Jones)--Saudi Arabia said late Monday it is neither involved in plans to build a mosque near the site of the September 11 attacks in New York, nor in possible talks to move the mosque to a less controversial site in Manhattan.
The kingdom "has no involvement, either directly or indirectly, with Park 51, formerly known as Cordoba House, in New York City, nor is it involved --in anyway--in talks that may be taking place to relocate the proposed community center," the country's embassy in Washington said in an emailed statement.
"The Government of Saudi Arabia considers this issue a domestic American matter," it added.
Plans to build the Cordoba House mosque, part of a Muslim center to be constructed two blocks from what is now known as Ground Zero, have been the source of protests for months. There have been suggestions that the location of the facility be moved, as a conciliatory gesture.
Opponents, angry over the proximity of the project to the former site of the World Trade Center, where nearly 3,000 people were killed, had hoped that a landmark designation would derail plans to replace the existing building with the 13-story, $100 million Islamic center.
U.S. media reported Sunday that Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah is in talks to move the Ground Zero mosque to another part of Manhattan.

The Saudi king punked the kafir. The Obama bow, the gift that keeps grifting. King Abdullah floated a mosque move meme to tease the pained and the grieved, and then said, never mind.
The Islamic supremacists are toying with and taunting the infidels, yet again. Pretending they are capable of doing the right thing, the decent thing, but the ruse is unsustainable. Eventually, they are unmosqued.
Grotesque. The only thing more depraved than this mosquestrosity is the craven elected officials who are banning jobs and cheap prices (Walmart) from the capital of the free world, while simultaneously quivering and prostrating in anticipatory submission to the grifters, hustlers and radicals behind the Ground Zero mosque, handing us over like a 12-year-old pubescent girl to her 80-year-old devout Muslim husband.
Imagine: 76% of NYC residents want Walmart according to a poll last week, and in another poll it was found that small business owners favor bringing Walmart to the city by a count of 62 percent to 27 percent.
Contrast that with the over 70% of Americans who are deeply opposed to the Ground Zero Islamic supremacist victory mosque. And what does this quisling Quinn, Speaker of the NYC Council, do? Declares "Hate Walmart Day" and schedules hearings to ban the number one retailer in the nation.
Our elected officials are the enemy. You must stand against this. I know you are working, but if you can come out on January 12th:

Just wondering.....when it becomes apparent that no American, non-muslim construction worker will lift a hammer to build this thing and no American building materials company will sell them supplies or tools, I’m wondering if the proponents of this will try to bring in muslim construction workers and supplies from elsewhere? Their backers can certainly afford it....without batting an eye.
When the inevitable fullscale rioting and massive bloodshed in the streets begin, will Bloomberg stick to his guns and call in the National Guard to protect the muslim construction workers? Will the National Guardsmen be interested in obeying this particular order, which may involve firing upon Patriotic American Citizens who love their country and are only trying to protect what has become essentially a National Religious Site from desecration?
The proponents’ oafish, condescendng and cement-headed efforts to ram this thing down our throats will be interesting to watch. The main imam is now embarking upon a cross-country PR tour in an effort to “educate” the stupid Americans on how completely wrong and misguided they are.
I hope that he has a ‘really’ good security detail with him.
They will bring this to a boil, that’s for sure. They have to be stopped from building mosques which are nothing more than jihad recruitment..
As to the National Guard? If they are patriots they will refuse an unlawful order. If not, then “Cry havoc..”
