Remember when Democrats opposed to the war in Iraq became furious when it was pointed out that they were encouraging the enemy? Remember when Harry Reid said "This war is lost"? "How dare you challenge my patriotism?" was the cry of outrage heard throughout the land. "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism" went the axiom.
With Barack Obama in the Oval Office, suddenly things are different. In today's Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Pulitzer Prize winning columnist and former editorial page editor Cynthia Ticker blatant calls Republican opponents of the START Treaty unpatriotic:

It’s only so when the dissenter is a Progressive/Democrat/CPUSA/Workers Of the World/Socialist/Code Pink/etc.. LibTURD.
The rule is: if one’s dissent is in support of a liberal cause, then dissent is the highest form of patriotism.
If one’s dissent in in support of a conservative cause, or against the liberal party line, then one is not just dissenting, one is evil. In such cases, the dissenter hates mother earth, polar bears, is in favor of global warming, hates homosexuals, hates women, hates progress, hates unwed mothers, etc. depending on what the cause of the day is.
Cynthia Tucker. She was demoted at work for doing something really stupid, but Democrats do so many stupid things I can’t remember what it was.

Oh , but you don’t understand— Dissent as a high form of Patriotism is true—but ONLY if the dissenter is a Democrat opposing Republican policy. There can be no such thing as dissent against any Democratic plan because as seen with the

Obama took office—new mantra— ‘Dissent is the highest form of racism’.
This is just the natural manifestation of “The Cult of Personality” which has no worthwhile principles.
She is a black..that says all.....95% of blacks voted for Obama....
In this season of “good will toward men (women, too)” have an understanding of Liberals. They all suffer from a tragic birth defect....a genetic inability to accept the fact that many intelligent, good intentioned people actually can disagree with them. It is a condition to be pitied.
This individual, Tucker, is a lightweight. Her hue gives her entree, not her intellectual heft.
What a great line, i amy have to borrow that.
