It is now starting to look like the Republicans traded DADT, START, and the 99 week extension of unemployment benefits for the 2 year extension of the tax cuts....

That's a pretty crappy deal, considering if we had just simply done NOTHING until January we could of gotten the tax cuts and had to give up NOTHING!

That was posted somewhere on FR a few days back, wasn’t it? That the republicans had agreed to that. Appears it was true.

Wasn’t even tax-cuts either, taxes stayed the same except the death tax came back. So, it was a tax increase.

That and killing the Omnibus-—for now.

I thought Harry dropped it very suddenly. He had a deal and was happy with it.

Omnibus will be back, count on it.

Very crappy deal.

Repealing DADT and approving New START -— during a time of war which we fight on behalf of the whole free world -— sends a MESSAGE OF WEAKNESS.

The Senate is doing the bidding of the Democrats and their anti-American masters.

It didn’t need to be this way. National security should NEVER be a bargaining chip.
