>>The left won decades ago...that’s why we are circling the drain now. It’s still cute to watch conservatives celebrate small battle victories, this election cycle being a good example. Hope springs eternal but keep your powder dry.<<

hahha! You crack me up. We are in complete agreement. I said to my friends, when Bush won in 2000, that it would only stave off the inevitable for four years. I said the same thing in 2004. And now the inevitable has marched for two years. It’ll slow down for the next two, but it will continue.

It’s inevitable. It is what mankind does. It is why we need the Lord, and I suspect His return is imminent. But, to be frank,I expect it to get a LOT worse before that.

Waldman, and most of those with similar surnames, is delighted by this. I wonder what great “causes” they will champion in the future.

How does it feel?

When I consider the insanity around me I don't discount the possibility that I am now strapped to a hospital bed in a psychiatric ward gnawing on my forearm.

Give up on FedGov™, our answers lie in the capitols of 50 (or 57) state governments:

The principle for which we contend is bound to reassert itself, though it may be at another time and in another form.

In Malmo, snipers are taking out Muslims.

I don't know if this is true or not, but I do know this: muslims can shoot rifles too.

The irony is that as muslims start to gain more power the gays will be scrambling back into the closet.

(NEVER FORGET what “our side” did with their lame-duck Congress..WP report on the 2006 GOP Lame-duck Congress)

Congress will convene on Tuesday for what some fear will be the lamest of lame-duck sessions, and GOP leaders have decided to take a minimalist approach before turning over the reins of power to the Democrats. Rather than a final surge of legislative activity, Congress will probably wrap up things after a single, short week of work. They have even decided to punt decisions on annual government spending measures to the Democrats next year.

“There is a lot of battle fatigue among members, probably on both sides of the aisle,” said Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.), usually a reliable conservative firebrand. “Contrary to popular belief, members of Congress are human beings. They have a certain shelf life and a certain amount of energy to be drawn on. We’re tired.”

Anguished over the Democrats’ victory on Nov. 7 and the tumult that has followed, GOP lawmakers want to get out of town. One senior Senate Republican aide called hopes for substantive legislation “delusional.”

I have felt the same way since the 2008 elections. There will be a reckoning. What form it will take I do not know but I will know it when it starts.

“In Malmo, snipers are taking out Muslims.”

Malmo is in Southern Sweden, right?

>>...Biblical and not political...<<

Hence my tag line.

A visiting pastor in my old church, about 20 years ago, said something I will never forget:

“Where would the early church have been if they had put their faith in Rome?”

Countries come and go. It’s just sort of painful if you are alive at the time of their going.

I bet a lot of people now feel worse about McCain not being president. He wasn’t the ideal candidate for most strong conservatives, but we would not now have DADT if he had won in 2008.

And as a bonus to the weekend's developments, this group of bigots need never be heard from again.

Who is this guy kidding? This is just small victory on their way to whatever suits their whims next. Be it mandatory homosexual experience for all citizens, gay juries in court cases, or the ability to have gay day care centers, gay police guilds, Congressional gay caucus....the list can go on and on. They don't want equality, they want to dominate.

"Malmo is in Southern Sweden, right?"

That is true...it's the Swedish city where the Muslims have been most successful in gaining a foothold.

How does it feel rightwingers....to have ceded our entire culture to the commie-left?...The Military fell this weekend

I feel good personally. We stopped the Dream act. That was an important victory for us and a major defeat for the left. DADT? whatever.

Someone once said that the World wars were won on the playfields of Britain and America. Since we no longer chase excellence on our playgrounds, or balls for that matter, we really don’t have a chance at any serious war that comes up...IMO. We just don’t have the testicles to go all out. Half Moochelle doesn’t count when the chips are down. We must go all out. Of course a half a Moochelle is equivalent to the beam measurement of a Rosie the riveter.
