Scott Brown ‘Yea’ on New START
National Review Online - The Corner ^ | 12/19/2010 | Andrew Stiles

Posted on 12/20/2010 2:53:39 PM PST by Fury

After basically evading reporters all day, the Massachusetts Republican recently announced that he will support the arms reduction treaty. Brown told reporters following a closed-session intelligence briefing that he had given the issue “due diligence” and hoped see the treaty ratified. “I believe it’s something that’s important for our country, and I believe it’s a good move forward to deal with our national security issues,” he said.

A cloture vote is expected on Tuesday.

Just remember folks all the people that were calling for Scott Brown to run for President. We all need to research these candidates before we just jump on the jack wagon.

“His campaign called us about a month ago for donations. I told them no money until the conservative votes are cast.”

What did the caller say when you told them that you weren’t donating?

Forgive a stupid question: why is reducing nuclear weapons a good thing?

All you Brown for President people owe FR and conservatives an apology...

Maybe we'll see a mea culpa here and there. I never did understand the infatuation with the guy, given that few of us knew his record or history, at the time.

I was very happy to see him whoop the tar out of the Commie, Martha Coakley, but "Scott Brown for president"? I don't think so.

Here are the current highlights of the new START that the media and press will not tell the public.

1) Reduce our land based nuclear missiles by 1/3

2) Reduce 50% of our nuclear Bombers

3) Reduce 50% of our nuclear attack Submarines

4) We (USA) cannot retaliate with a nuclear strike to any Biological or Chemical attack on the United States. Iran is the only exception.

5) Russia can opt out any time they want, but we have to still abide by it.

Think this is what Obama wants in a world that is increasing every day of danger. We have China and Russia that are rebuilding their military, then you have North Korea, Iran and nuclear proliferation.

This treaty is insane. The fact that the congress is even debating and rushing this vote should clue anyone with no understanding that this is a bad deal.

Donate your money to Free Republic. Unlike Brown, FR is the one conservative entity you can bank on.

He is much better than any Democrat and the best we could hope for in a liberal state. You can’t expect Mass to give us the type of person that the south would give us. Be thankful that he caucuses correctly.

No. Brown is a SHAPESHIFTER after his idol, Mitt Romney.

They are a pair of liars and should not be compared to a NE conservative.
There are some, and a conservative bloom could be ignited again.

Trouble is, there are SHAPESHIFTING RINOs.
