Force everyone into MEDICARE Part B at age 65 and provide only backup coverage with a hefty deductible - that is what the military considers “free healthcare for life” for its retirees. Deduct premiums from pension checks.
No retired municipal employee should have cheaper healthcare coverage than a military retiree.
Their solution is a simple one. Rely on a federal bailout and shift the blame, preferably to Republicans. Hardly any around in this case but the MSM will work it out for them. They knew the bill was coming due.
Not to worry. The Big ‘un will destroy the city, kill off many of the claimants, and the obligations will be nullified.
I read this morning of a Mutual Fund manager who lives in SF and has two motorcycles...... the only way to escape the destruction.
This will be another leftwing financial trainwreck, and it will not wait for a couple of decades.
Gayfrisco is losing sales tax $’s and other tax $’s at a growing rate.
So those eligible for the fat cat early retirements will find ways to speed up their retirement.
Most Blue cities/counties/states will collapse financially in the next few years. They were counting on a bailout from Pelosi/Reid and their blessed 0b0z0. That ain’t coming.
