It takes 218 votes to pass a bill in the House. We do not yet know where many of the new members stand on all issues. We will learn that as they convene and begin to join in the debates and votes.

And, no research is necessary since committee chairmen do not control the votes of House members, and this group is believed to be more independent than most new groups.

I didn't say that, but it is a good place to start, and a good way to get an idea of the possibilities. And you are the one who complained that Michelle Malkin hadn't told you what was going to happen, at the beginning of this thread, not me. I merely suggested you do a little reading of your own. I also think it is interesting that you believe none of the newly elected House members answered questions about their positions on immigration before the election.
