The article DOES have a point: many Hispanics will view the failure of the Dream Act as a big fat EFF YOU in their faces. We may come to rue this vote.

I must disagree. “If there is to be war, let it be in my time, that my children may know peace”.

If a race war is going to be started by some illegals, Moslims, ad nauseam, better by far that if be sooner rather than later. Later, there will be more of them.

Hopefully, someone will teach the Messicans, Moslims and other assorted, sordid members of the whacko population that genocide is best not started by those in the minority.

Just my opinion.

The relevant polls are rarely reported. But every poll I've seen of legal Hispanics consistently show that 60%-or-so favor closing the border and are dead set against any kind of amnesty.

Here in my neck of the woods, NC Texas, the locals certainly match that profile.

Put yourself in their position and judge you'd feel about the idea of illegal aliens getting all the rights of citizenship you earned.

A war is not necessary. A war arising from our systematic demonization of an entire class of people—demonization that could easily end if we simply wrote laws that weren’t designed to treat illegals like untermenschen—is the fault not of the victims but of the victimizers.

And those who say we reward lawbreaking need only look at the neighborhood abortion clinic for the real thing.
