Look. I know this has been posted before but I felt it was important to give this its own thread.
This headline and article was published by the AP. It EXPECTEDLY blames Republicans but is so brazen in its propaganda attempt that it is infuriating.
The vote was FIVE short. SIX Democrats did NOT vote to bring this to the floor. It would seem to me that DEMOCRATS blocked this. Of course that wouldn't look good to the AP party of choice - the Democrats. So they had to flip it completely around and turn it into propaganda by blaming Republicans.
Please don't delete this thread as its value is in the news of AP distortion rather than yet another article on the DREAM Act.

Mean mean Republicans. The article actually fails to stress the credit the DINO dissenters deserve for their part of stopping the Nightmare Act. Hopefully this is the high water mark of the nightmare.

I thought illegals could already join the military and get citizenship, can they not?

This is an important win for conservatives. The SCHEME Act would have further enabled chain migration: the legalized youngsters could then get legal status for their parents and other relatives, who could bring in their spouses and their spouses’ families. It never ends. You give an inch and they take a mile.

This is the most biased “reporting” I’ve seen in awhile. Something tells me an AP writer may be mad over the vote due to members of their family, or their own racism, and this article was their “revenge”.

It also omits discussion of the stealth provision that would have allowed obastard to grant blanket amnesty to all illegal aliens with the stroke of a pen...

Hispanic activists and immigrant advocates had looked to the bill as a down payment on what they had hoped would be broader action by Obama and the Democratic-controlled Congress to give the nation's 10 million to 12 million illegal immigrants a chance at legal status. There it is, they are admitting it was just a beginning to full amnesty.

An article obviously intended to DISCREDIT republicans will frankly make them MORE popular with actual Americans! You gotta love libs this far out of touch with the American people!

Those poor 36 year old illegal “youths” won’t be able to get back door amnesty - at least until the 111th Congress tries to push another Shamnesty bill through.

"This is a dark day in America," said Jorge-Mario Cabrera, a spokesman for the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights in Los Angeles." That's right - turn out the lights the party's over ;-) I wonder if there are U.S. citzens running a Coalition for Humane Immigrant rights down in Mexico (NOT!)

The Republicans need to target the MSM. Every time there is a biased article, some committee should subpoena the author of the article and defend themselves. If these journalists are spending all of their time in front of committees, they aren't writing biased articles, and they aren't earning any money.
