This is it, everyone. We need phone calls to these uncommitted Senators today. Put the Nightmare Act down one more time.

"Very few Senate offices are likely to keep their phones open Friday evening or Saturday morning. So, you need to make the calls before this evening."

Gosh, I didn’t see my senators, Boxer and Feinstein, on that list. Must have been an oversight.

Not a rhetorical question: how much attention are Rush and Mark Levin giving to DREAM? From what I can tell, not much. But that's just my impression from searching the web and talking to listeners -- I don't listen to radio. And that is what worries me more than anything else, the lack of intensity from our side, at least from what I can see.

There are reasons for hope, though. Scott Brown, from liberal Mass., is against it. A lot of Democrat Senators up for reelection in '12 are from states with high unemployment. Harry Reid hasn't been able to ram it through so far, and this going to a vote without opportunity for amendments (I think), which should alienate Snowe and Collins. The lame-duck scheduling will hopefully offend moderates who have any shred of decency. Jeff Sessions, as always, is leading the opposition. My two Senators are firmly decided, so I've been pounding everybody on Roy Beck's lists.

That’s how the rats operate. They keep bringing up the same issues over and over until people become used to the idea - anesthetized, sort of, and then just give in because the people come to think it’s inevitable because of the repetitive hounding.
