They are doing this Saturday because Ron Wyden is gone Friday, and is gone all next week. Saturday was the only day he was available to vote, and they know they will need his vote.
I’m guessing they think they can get DADT without his vote, since they seem to have one extra republican for that one.
And I’m still guessing they’ve given up on START, although they haven’t formally dropped it yet.
DADT repeal will also be on the agenda for Saturaday. When you call your Senator, tell them to vote against both.
