One thing about DADT repeal that I have not seen discussed is the fact that much of the military is black and hispanic now, and for the most part they do not like gays. If gays think that all is going to be well now in the military and they can be open about their sexuality they need to think again. Anti gay attacks by minorities will not be looked upon by the media and by the law in the same manner as anti gay attacks by whites. This is going to get real ugly real fast.
So it could be a self correcting problem down the line?
That's not a bug, that's a feature. Upwardly mobile, honorable racial minorities will now be a captive audience for reeducation.
This will mean less opposition to the gay agenda within the Democratic Party and also within the GOP. Only soldiers comfortable with the agenda will be advanced, there will be fewer socially conservative, higher-ranking military vets in the GOP talent pool.
Whites make up about 75% of the military. Hispanics about 13% and Blacks and Asians the rest. Blacks are the only under represented group.
Nevertheless, you point does hold as to White Evangelical Christians who make up 22% of the total. Twenty percent have said they would either certainly not reenlist or would consider leaving. That leaves a huge 5% hole that will not be easily filled because the Evangelical community will stop sending its young men and women to the Services.

Then all of a sudden, off in the background, I heard a horse neighing when I read that!
