LOL it is “gay” that the Congress gets to dictate on this very matter. I think it should be up to the military on how they want to maintain a lean and mean fighting force.

What pisses me off the most is that Congress and DOD thinks it’s ok for gays to sleep and shower with straights. When in reality, they know it would cost billions to seperate.

The Constitution vests in Congress the power to "make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces." (Article I, section 8). So it may be bad policy, but it is certainly Congress's job, not the military's.
