Thank a “Pissed-off Teabagger”: Federal Health Care Law Declared Unconstitutional!
David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ^ | M. Catharine Evans

Daily Kos hates Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, and now they have even more reason to trash him, thank God. This is what DK wrote on June 8, 2010 about the Attorney General’s fight against the part of the healthcare law that forces people to buy insurance:

Commerce clause, taxation without representation, whatever. The colonists were pissed. About tea, or something. The teabaggers are pissed. Not about tea, but they want to be like the colonists, so the Boston Tea Party must be somehow applicable to the new health insurance law. Hell, it works for Boehner and Cantor, et al.

I don’t what’s scarier: that Cuccinelli is the chief legal officer for Virginia or that the Republican House leadership are actually in a position to make federal law.

Today, six months later, Cuccinelli emailed his supporters and the “pissed off teabaggers” this message:

Dear Defender of Liberty,Today, a federal judge in Richmond ruled the individual mandate of the federal health care law UNCONSTITUTIONAL! In other words – we won! This won’t be the final round, as this will ultimately be decided by the Supreme Court, but today is a critical milestone in the protection of the Constitution.

Thank God for Virginia. Virginians were in the lead in the early days of our country, and they are again in the lead in taking back our country from the Progressives.

Liberals sure love it when the courts rule in their favor, but the sound of wailing and gnashing of teeth is deafening when they loose. Whining about the courts ruling “against the will of the people” will be heard in unison on the MSM tonight.

Actually, it's encouraging that a legal officer for Virginia or the Republican House leadership can block an unconstitutional law (at least for now).

I have been working in Richmond for the last 4 years and it is indeed the heart center of American Rights. There is a wall in the center or Richmond which declares it was where the 1st Amendment was penned. St. John’s Church where Patrick Henry declared “give me liberty or give me death!” is a few blocks up from downtown.

Thomas Jefferson designed the State Capitol and The Jefferson Hotel carries so much of his legacy forward to this day.

And, whether you decry it or support it, at least the Confederates BELIEVED in unfettered freedom of the States, instead of being under the heel of an unthinking and disinterested oligarchy. It was the backlash against that heel that to this day at least pauses the Statists ... well, until this regime.

VA rocks, baby!

I would just move here, but there are too many logistical problems. But I have paid VA Income Tax for the last 4 years so I at least get to toss my hat in as one of them — and I was in the 1st VA Tea Party meeting which was was the granddaddy of them all!!

For a long time lots of left wing idiots used this term and had no idea what it meant. Probably a lot still don’t. I didn’t know what it meant until I looked it up after I heard someone in the media saying it was a slang term.

Proud to be one, and to count Mr. Cuccinelli as a personal friend.
