We wouldn't want to get illegal drivers off of the road, would we?

It’s okay to target legal residents with unpaid tickets but it’s unfair to expect illegals to obey the same laws? Only a Democrat could “reason” like this!

Follow our laws and this will not happen to you!

It just gets worse out there by the day. Sometimes it’s beyond mere words to describe California.

So let me get this straight: Al laws are meant to target lawbreakers. Targeting lawreakers is unconstitutional. Therefore, all laws must be unconstitutional. Got it.

"The San Jose Police Department is expected to stop 30-day impounding of vehicles"

Actually, I agree. The vehicle should stay impounded until the driver in question produces valid licence and insurance, and pays the fines, which also would assume that the vehicle is properly taxed.

They probably can’t. Since they are not citizens, they do not need a license. Only common law applies. Since nobody is harmed, no penalty.

Too many typos in that:

s/b: “All laws are meant to target lawbreakers. Targeting lawbreakers is unconstitutional. Therefore, all laws must be unconstitutional. Got it.”

yikes! I think I corrected all of them.

*Immigrant advocates have complained the 30-day vehicle holds unfairly target illegal immigrants.*

“UNFAIRLY!!?!!!!!!”

But they have no problem with the “unfairity” of illegal invaders stealing American jobs, costing hospitals millions, killing our citizens on the roads or in our homes.

I suppose they think it would be terrible for an illegal to be delayed in their important work of committing more crimes or rushing to that all-important drug deal.

Illegal aliens: committing the crimes that Americans won't.

Of course. It’s not like they’re going to lose their license for being cited for a DUI. You go to jail overnight, are released the next day, and are never heard from again by the Court system, while you blithely go on driving a car without the ability to read the road signs or know the Vehicle Code. And without insurance. Which is why those of us in Cali have uninsured motorist protection.

Actually, I disagree. The DRIVER should stay impounded until the driver in question produces valid license and insurance, and pays the fines, and, if illegal, the driver should begin the prison sentence for being in the country illegally, and when completed, be deported.

Redwood City CA police are forbidden to do roadside sobriety checkpoints in the Latino area of the city, only in the white, upscale neighborhoods.

Constitutional protection from unreasonable search and seizure only applies to illegal aliens in CA.

No it hasn't. The people making these seemingly crazy decisions very much have their own interests in mind.

What they don't have are mine, nor do they care.

There will be an accounting.
