It gives a whole new meaning to pandering to the kids.
But in this case its a matter of survival.
Chinese conservationists are dressing up in fluffy panda costumes as they help prepare captive-born cubs to live in the wild.

I’ve alway heard that Panda’s sometimes kill/maul rural chinese folks, but the gov’t censors it in order to promote the panda as the Chinese symbol. I don’t know if it’s just a myth or what. I know the zoo keepers have to be careful around them.
