Let’s not kid ourselves, California is the biggest economy in the USA. If they go bankrupt as they surely will, THEY WILL, not might but WILL, be bailed out. Guess whose money will be used ?

You are probably right that they will be bailed out but hopefully the Republicans in the US Congress will insist on terms that will be so onerous that the State Legilature will effectively be disenfrachised. He who pays the piper.....

Exactly. That is why the federal government must be dismantled; and States, or local jurisdictions, where public scrutiny can prevail, address their own problems.
There will still be taxes, and there will still be bitching and political corruption; BUT, there will be scrutiny, there will be opportunity to move, there will be a variety of solutions.
Once realized, the avarice of centralized federal control (the Left) becomes clear, ala Barack Obama, Janet Napolitano, Goldman-Sachs, the CFR, the Kelo Decision, illegal amnesty, Obamacare, Congress in general too, regardless of Party.
