The unrecognized winner in this one is the “Scivoush” Coumo. Now he can crap on the state civil service unions to look tough for 2016 (don't laugh) and still keep their support because he'll blame the layoffs and tax cuts on the Republican State Senate. But at least this will help in redistricting. We now have our 1/3 seat at the table and can work to save Pete King who will be the main target of the Democrats.
Another piece of good news is that pending some recount news in three Assembly races we can finally get over 50 seats and kill a super majority which Cuomo will demand for any new taxes knowing Silver wouldn't be able to put out together. New York is not yet California.

Did you see King lobbying for his seat with his spirited defense of Rangel on the floor last week? If he thinks that will help him during redistricting then Anthony Weiner can sell him the Brooklyn Bridge.
