Hillary Clinton: Secretary of State is "My Last Public Position"
cbsnews.com ^ | Dec. 3, 2010 | Mary Dooe

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has once more reiterated that she will not run for president in 2012, going so far as to refer to her current role in government as "my last public position."

At a town hall meeting appearance in Manama, Bahrain on Friday, Clinton denied intentions to run for either president or vice president on the ticket with President Obama, who defeated her in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary. Some experts have also speculated that she could replace Robert Gates next year when he retires as secretary of defense.

"I think I will serve as secretary of state as my last public position," she said. Clinton's career has included not only her current position as secretary of state, but also eight years in the Senate representing New York.

Clinton has repeatedly laughed off rumors that she may seek the highest office in the country, and she was notably out of the country during the midterm elections when Democrats lost control of the House.

When her current position is over, Clinton "would like to continue working to improve lives for others," she said, adding that she will "probably go back to advocacy work, particularly on women and children and probably around the world." This marks the first time Clinton has publicly discussed alternatives to political office in her future.

Hillary Clinton: "I think I will serve as secretary of state as my last public position"...

Hmmm, the meaning of "is" game.

Well, lessee. Since SoS is a "public position," ishe's just saying she won't take another administrative and/or cabinet assignment.

But not for sure, because she "thinks" this is true.

And she won't run for president in 2012 or 2016. Okaaay... but if Obama is impeached for, oh I don't know, imposing concentration camps as a foreign-born marxist kenyan muslim fraud, for example, well then, Biden might get thrown out with him for running on a fraudulent ticket. Which means there might be another election, and it might not be in 2012. Ta-da, she gets to run.

But one thing's for sure - if she has a shot at the White House, she's going to take it. Anyone who doubts that is pathetic.

I suppose telling Hillary to stop lying is to much to ask.

It is obvious that it is her State Department that is leaking big-time.

Whether that is her doing or her incompetence—either way— she is unfit to serve in any public office.

Do believe it.

Obama,Inc. has the goods on her and Bill. We can be sure; her future was nailed down pat, before she was sworn in as Sec of State. All thee folks know the how to play 'ugly ball'; and they know with their circle of 'friends'; they need no enemies.

Don't be so sure. Sec of State ids the first real job Hillary has ever had. She has to show up early and leave late every day to face an enormous workload. She has to make decisions for which she is actually directly accountable.

All of her other positions have been cushy lifestyle jobs where she gets to play big shot and boss, have everyone else do her work, show up when she wants to and which have little accountability when you screw up.

That's practically the working definition of a US Senator.

She may have finally figured out that SHE does not want to have to field the 3am calls.

Obama seems to be having a lot of problems with this as well.

I'm sure they have the goods on each other. The Clinton's have proof he was born in Kenya and some of his wild days in his youth. They have his school records where he's listed as a foreigner. He's got all the information that's been out there for years on these two insufferable POS, but the MSM will run with it if he asks them to. If he wants the rape of Juanita Broaddrick to come back up in the MSM again, they will do it.

The Wikileaks nonsense was done to embarrass her, remind people what a foul person she really is, how her plan to fulfill her duties as SOS are based on some leaders possible drug problems or any dirt she can collect on people.

This crap about her work for the Children's Defense league, she worked there less than two years in her sordid career. She spent most of her time as a lawyer in the dirty Rose Law firm and enjoying the spotlight her husband demanded follow him around.

That BS about Bubba's work for charity through his foundation. Check the records and you see most of the money is going to charitable groups his old croonies and supporters set up. They pay themselves huge salaries to run these charities. It's a freaking joke One can only pray she knows she's done in politics and will spend the rest of her sorry life making lots of money giving speeches like the Rapist. With any luck those rumors in the tabloids about her being ill are true and she soon moves on to party with Teddy K.

Thanks; good points and synopsis.

Did think (back then) Hillary's record in Arkansas - as well, her fingerprints at Rose Law Firm - would have shortened Hillary's ambitious reach. (Thought same for her husband, of course; and clearly wrong on both counts.) Nonetheless, Hillar managed a couple of impressive titles.

An evil nonfiction tells another story, of course and you detail. Meantime, Hillary and hubby have made gazillions creating misfortune for others - and all in the name of public service. A typical protocol and MO of ambitious Lefties everywhere.

Whatever her fate; do wish her an exit; even a graceful one - if that what it takes - from the political stage; giving up any and all, public influence and personal gain therein.

Wish more, that these people could look truth in the eye - at least once- and share that truth; but of course, that will not happen. Lefties are who and what they are. Their truth is left for others to witness and be enlightened by - 'if only'. As we know, the evil of History is repititious enough.

Agree with all your points.

Aside from whatever 'other' reasons Hillary may have; am thinking, too, that she must be tired by now. She certainly looks very tired. Appealing the Leftist-power hierarchy has it's downsides, no doubt; and then there are the daggers at her back; ever ready; and 'just in case'. There is no such thing, of course, as a Leftist 'friend'; and so this journey takes it' toll. It appears so, at least, for Hillary.

Whatever the case at hand; I 'do believe' her when she says this is the end - whatever that encompasses.

Hey, the media are complicit here. All she’s said is “I think...”, which in pol-speak is a weak nondenial denial, at best.
