Rocker Ray Davies has called for the masterminds behind the 9/11 terror attacks to face a firing squad made up of members of the victims' families. The Kinks frontman wants the suspects being held at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp in Cuba to face the death penalty if they are found guilty of involvement in the September 11 atrocities.
And he wants soldiers and the families of those killed in the tragedy to act as executioner. Davies tells Uncut magazine, "I think there should be a firing squad. They should give six people bullets. Well, two of them have got bullets and the others are all blanks."
"They'll get - whoever the executioner is - a soldier, a relative of someone who was killed in 9/11, and a frequent flyer."
then we can close down gitmo and everyone will be happy
Good commonsense conservatism.
You Gotta Give the People What They Want.
Make sure the firing squad includes Lola and at least one well respected man.
Moving “The Kinks” up my playlist now.
Flashback:
Kinks star shot in New Orleans
RAY DAVIES
January 05, 2004
Ray Davies, the lead singer with the British rock band The Kinks, is recovering after being shot in New Orleans.
A police spokesman said Davies and a female companion were walking near the French Quarter at about 8:30 p.m. ET Sunday when two suspects approached them and grabbed the woman’s purse.
Davies, 59, ran after the suspects, and was shot in the leg, New Orleans Police Department spokesman Capt. Marlon DeFillo said.
LOL...Savage has been playing “Living on a Thin Line” since he was banned from the UK.
Ray Davies...Hero...but all six should have bullets, no blanks.
I think that was the first anti-Muslim terrorist record.
“Make sure the firing squad includes Lola and at least one well respected man.”
And make sure the guy lives long enough afterwards to say “You really got me...”;)
That was Dave's.
I imagine that the leader of the Village Green Preservation Society is none too pleased at what Islam has done to England.
Who ever said “There’s no England now....”
Davies lives part time in NYC.
