The Journal article later takes the obligatory hit against Sarah Palin noting she was a failed VP candidate and resigned her post as governor before the end of her first term.

Personally, while I’m thrilled that Martinez was elected (and I did vote for her), I’d like to see how she actually governs as governor before I get too excited about 2012 prospects.

Yeah. Remember what happened the last time we had a female, governor, V.P. candidate?
I'm sure they will begin ripping her to shreds soon.

Yes, I know the Prez candidate was to blame for the results.

I'm just sayin’.

Maybe some of these newly elected governors and senators should be sworn into the office they were elected to before they are nominated for president or vice president.

“For the 2012 vice presidential nomination, he wrote, “The two most obvious picks would be Florida Sen.-elect Marco Rubio and New Mexico Gov.-elect Susana Martinez.”

Can we please have them serve a complete term before considering them for higher office? Thank you.

I think Martinez will do well as Gov. But I’m tired of these instant bandwagons for higher office.

Of course, if we had any real candidates at that level it might not happen as much.

There are enough other problems in N Mexico that she can solve before she gets such support.

See the other thread here today that talks about the meth guy who got picked up for the 127th time & still isn’t in prison for life.
