After talking with President Obama for two hours, Republicans said Tuesday that they were “pleased” and remained committed to finding “common ground.”

“The president did make the important point that he hasn’t spent much time with us – reaching out and talking to us, and committed to do so,” incoming House Speaker John Boehner, who said the meeting was “very nice,” told reporters.

“I think spending more time will help us ... find common ground,” Boehner said.

Screw the GOP, they’re doing their best to marginalize conservatives. They’d love for the townhallers, Jim DeMint, the tea partiers and Sarah Palin to just go away. They’re a bunch of Donkeys dressed up as elephants.

Perhaps so, but they know it won't happen.

We the People do not want you to find “common ground.”

Why does the image of ‘GOP smiles’ make me feel very nauseous right now? You are not alone.

Cantor precisely said that the 26 year olds stay on mommy’s insurance

Someone clarify for me, please... is it MANDATORY that parents allow their kids up to age 26 to access their insurance?

Correct. Obama is the same radical jackass that he was before. That will never change. He is not interested in common ground—just destroying the US.

If we could say it... FR would no longer be a family friendly forum.

Oh well - time to bang our heads against the wall. Cause we’re gonna be good buddies with Obummer from now on.

This needs a thread of its own. I don’t have the skills, but everyone needs to know who the gutless wonders are in DC!

Never heard that it is mandatory, if that helps, but it has polled well, somewhere, Rush said.

I don’t expect the GOP to vote against poll-tested stuff.

We may not like it but we had to know it was coming. Reality Check.

I’ve never held my breath that obama and pelosi will be stopped. I don’t care what Hannity’s “express” says.

As I said on another thread, the republicans will be blamed for everything for the next two years. And rightfully so but for the wrong reasons. The real reason will be “bi-partisanship”.

Understanding the implications of this, I think it is time for a third party. Win or lose, I’d like somebody out there that represents conservatism in an unapologetic manner. I think over time that it would prevail. And I have had it with the spineless, frightened Republican party. Not that I am at all surprised by this. This was their last chance and, as usual, they are blowing it.

Did anyone utter the words “we won,” delivered of course with a pleasant smile?
