Telegraph [UK] ^ | 11/27/10 | Sean Rayment

Friends of the colonel, who cannot be named for security reasons, said he had grown increasingly despondent with service life following the cuts imposed on the military by the Strategic Defence and Security Review (SDSR). It is understood that two highly respected Brigadiers, one of whom also served with the Special Forces, are considering their positions. Senior officers have warned that many more high calibre officers are expected to resign in the coming months especially if the Continuity of Education Allowance--which pays for a proportion of boarding school fees for service families--is cut.

In all the British history I know, the UK has never had such a horrid, liberal, radical left government. Totally without respect.

Maggie Thatcher was the last respectable leader that the UK had. Gone are the days of greatness as Churchill, as for us with Reagan.

The once-leading Western nations are in crisis. Radical liberalism, insanity and stupidity abound.

In that case I would expect bureaucrats to make serious cuts in the Continuity of Education Allowance.

With continued Wikileaks streaming state secrets to the world, how long will it be until military lives are taken that have been compromised by these leaks?

Eh?.

You DO realise that Labour was kicked out of power in May?.

The govt in the UK is a coalition govt, which is mostly conservative, and the PM is Conservative. And the coalition govt is already tackling the welfare system, education, health and safety laws, the compensation culture....

Id rather the Tories had won outright of course, and some policies have had and will have to be watered down because of the Liberal Democrat section of the govt (the ‘Lib Dems’ are centre-left) and the Tories are centre-right and less to the right than 1979-1997, but where you get the idea that this coalition govt is radical left is a mystery.

This govt is having to clear up 13 yrs of the mess New Labour left. THAT Govt is the worst in living memory or ever.
