Sarah Palin: 'We've got to stand with our North Korean allies' (Liberals Are Loving It)

Sarah Palin never claimed she could see Russia from her house – that was Tina Fey – but she went one better on Glenn Beck's radio show in discussing the tensions in the Korean Peninsula and saying: "We've got to stand with our North Korean allies".

A transcript of the radio show reads:

Interviewer: How would you handle a situation like the one that just developed in North Korea?

Palin: Well, North Korea, this is stemming from a greater problem, when we're all sitting around asking, 'Oh no, what are we going to do,' and we're not having a lot of faith that the White House is going to come out with a strong enough policy to sanction what it is that North Korea is going to do. So this speaks to a bigger picture that certainly scares me in terms of our national security policy. But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies – we're bound to by treaty....

Interviewer: South Korean.

Palin: Yes, and we're also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes.

Slip o’ the tongue. That said, she needs to be more careful about what she says. Think before you spout.

I heard this show. It was just a quick miss-speak. She caught herself right away. It’s nothing.

Great to see you RomneyBOTs here in force.

Regarding here misspeak: So what.

Regarding the rest: She is “being there” unlike the
rest of gutless, ball-less, spineless RINOs.

Yes and the media never harrassed him on it. That made me very upset.

“A slip of the tongue that would be overlooked by Obama will be used to rip her apart. She needs to think before she talks.”

I like her, but it has been two years. This is not a Geography Bee. This is the real thing. I have NEVER had a problem distinguishing between the two Koreas since my senior year in High School (i.e., decades ago). It is TOTALLY INGRAINED in my head, just like the difference between East Germany and West Germany was. Trying to remember who runs Pakistan is one thing, trying to remember which country (and I think the only) that is still in a state of war with us (essentially), should not be that difficult.

Sorry - I’ve liked DeMint for the past couple of months (before that it was Sarah), and I think he would not mess this up.

I think this shows Sarah can best help the conservative cause by raising money and promoting certain, conservative candidates.

I agree and for some reason as retired military I just can't see myself voting for her and making her Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces.

When you talk, sometimes you just mess up. I listened to that interview, she said “North” Korea a few times which was right, but then the 3rd time she said North instead of South. Big freakin deal! I have made that mistake many times, especially when your talking fast, it just slips out. Only she gets this kind of reaction. Is this what liberals do because they have NO life, listen to every single interview she does looking for a boo boo that she makes. They need to get a life, or a job, or something because that is pathetic

This is exactly what the beltway RINOs want to hear from Sarah. Doesn’t she have enough money to hire skilled researchers and get coaching on history, diplomacy, and current events? She needs help, or else keep her mouth shut.

Sarah has done so much to win elections for Republicans this year, it would be a shame to see her being ridiculed on Saturday Night Live, and Comedy Central for comments like this news item.

Being there doing what? If she's going to criticize Obama then shouldn't she be explaining how she would do things differently? Or is she just spouting vague platitudes for the sake of grabbing attention?

I like her, but I agree with you. I just don't think I want to vote for her. I like Jim DeMint, to name one.

Whose side is she on, eh?

We know whose side you're on... It's the side that trashes Palin in every thread. I'm trying to recall the name for that team.

Intersting that you mention East and West Germany, considering the comment Palin proxy Joe Miller made in admiration of East Germany’s Berlin Wall.

Yes, indeed she does. Sharah has the attention of the people...all the people now. So she needs to be cautious and pick her fights.. as well as be spot on with countries names. Though were it anyone else they would let it just pass unfortunately. She really does get hammered...just as Bush did for how he spoke.

Agreed. Its not like Sarah is trying to destroy this country and deserves every slam we can muster, as Obama does. I would give Obama a lot of slack on his flubs if he wasn’t a freedom hating commie slimeball.

The PDS going on out there, both right and left, is like nothing I have every seen, even Reagan derangement syndrome was not as bad. Wow!
