Is that an arti shell or a rocket? Looks a little too long for a shell, also the vents on the rear, maybe a rocket assited shell?

Is there any NK reaction to the announcement of the Carrier Group war games in the Yellow Sea this weekend?
Will this call their bluff if they scream annihilation and nothing happens?

There are some confusion as to exactly what kind of weapons were used to attack the island. N. Korea does have multiple rocket launchers aimed at this area.
In an earlier report, SK military said that N. Korea fired 76.2mm guns and 170mm self-propelled howitzers.

No response from NK yet. I suspect they will say something if CBG sails well inside Yellow Sea.

I would love to see us destroy all their nuke capabilities and decapitate their leadership and give China a huge refugee problem.

Could have sworn I saw somewhere that the exercises were to be 70 some odd miles south of the sea border. Close enough? Not sure.
Any thoughts whether we may still see somekind of military response from President Lee or has the time window come and gone?

If there is a retaliation, it won’t be ordered by Lee, as far as I know.

Minor point, but that is not a shell. That is an artillery rocket; that flap on the end is what’s left of a stabilization fin, and the length of the round is probably three times longer than an artillery shell is.
Yesterday, first reports were of an artillery exchange, then last night I heard that NoKo tanks were involved as well. I am 99% certain that’s a rocket and that adds yet another dimension to the profile of that attack yesterday and also makes it more ominous. Artillery rockets carry all kinds of payloads, not just a single high explosive warhead. You can put cluster munitions, chemical and biological agents in them as well. You could also use one to loft a single atomic warhead across the DMZ into Seoul.
And the only response to this is a call for “restraint”.
God be with South Korea.

I got back a week ago from New Orleans and a visit to the Acme oyster bar.
Good food but I kept looking for the road runner.
