This district voted for Bush by 8 in 2000 and 10 in 2004, but it did elect Obama by 5. If the GOP presidential candidate runs strong in NC in 2010, Ellmers should be fine. But she has to prove herself.
I think with all of Dem corruption in NC, she does have a chance of holding it.
