sorry, but real-world experience and actually being in touch with the common man just doesn’t matter.
Unless she’s a lawyer or a college professor, she just isn’t qualified.....(I really hope I don’t have to point out my sarcasm)

The piece above is not only well written, it’s very well-reasoned.

I've always said that Governor Palin's experience at the local level has helped her tremendously, and is actually far more experience than being in Congress itself.

People, including the usual gang of anti-Palin sharks who are circling this thread and will hit F5 to post the usual "She's a quitter" garbage, have always looked down on Palin's local experience, which makes them no different than the elitists snobs who are angry that Palin didn't rise to power under the usual set of circumstances for females in politics (rich hubby/privileged background/slept way to top, etc.)

Excellent article, thanks for the post.

An interesting aside.... Did you notice that Obama chose not to stand with the Dems in that picture?

Curious...

I think another reason she is better than the last 5 Presidents is she is smoking hot.

Editor’s Note: This is the first of a two-part series exploring Sarah Palin’s qualifications for the presidency.

The article is so well written and formulated that I demand the second part be posted now...I can’t wait.

Does anyone have the cartoon of a giant Palin with “executive experience” stepping over Obama, Biden, and shielding McCain?

Sarah Palin's qualifications for the presidency

Interesting but entirely irrelevant regarding a person's qualification to run for the office of President of the United States For some reason some voters have adopted the notion that a person must be college educated and posses a law degree before running for the office. This is not true, nor desirable, if past experiences are considered.

There are only two qualifications to run for the office of President. The person must be thirty five years of age and a native American. Sarah Palin is qualified to run for the office of President of the United States.

The Constitution of the United States:

Article II, Section 1 No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

A person who is uneducated, unable to read or write, convicted of serial murders and rapes, deaf, dumb, and blind is also qualified to run for President if they are over 35 years of age and a native born American.

However, there is one additional qualification that must be satisfied before Sarah Palin or any candidate from any political party or no political party can become President of the United States. They must be elected.

Everyone should read Intellectuals and Society by Dr. Thomas Sowell and you would see why Gov. Palin is just what we need. Not another so called intellectual.

Walking away from her governorship is a big problem with me. That two and a half years is going to be a problem when she gets hit over the head with it, I don’t care how you spin it.

Palin has more savvy and energy than any of the “announced” candidates out there. Her experience is far and away more important both pragmatically and symbolically than all the ceo’s and Ivy league baggage some others carry around.

She has plenty of company with the greatest leaders of this country...I just wish she would get rid of the McCain baggage like her her foreign policy advisor.

That association hurts her.
