If Obama, Kerry, and Gore are presidential material, I guess Culberson is. But that is a very low standard. Ted Poe would be far better.

I’m a 6th generation Texan and have lived in the state most of my life—but I’ve never heard of this guy. Guess he doesn’t make many waves.

Lawrence O’Donnell yells at Rep. John Culberson, accusing him of lying to America: “You lie to America about the evil of government health care…”

After being interrupted and being accused of lying repeatedly, the Congressman said “You’re illustrating why MSNBC’s viewership is in the tank…”

Anybody can stand in the basement and yell about stuff. See how he does it when people are paying attention.

John Culberson served for years in the Texas Legislature before going to Washington in 2001. He is a long time friend whom I personally think would make a GREAT president but that’s because I don’t mind - in fact I like it a LOT - the fact that he talks VERY straight! Ask John a question and you will get the answer as he knows it without any varnish at all.

That is NOT a quality that endears him to some people and would drive the MSM in this country ABSOLUTELY nuts! Besides that, John doesn’t have anywhere near the personal wealth necessary to undertake such a venture.

I live in Michigan. I only know Rep. Culberson because of some small help I gave him in his efforts a couple of years ago to defeat Bush's immigration sham.

He is a Jeffersonian Republican, and adores Jefferson. He is right on the mark politically for this conservative, somewhat libertarian person. His beliefs would make him a great president, but I'm unsure if he wants to leave his district (in Houston) and be more of a politician.

Can you tell I love the guy?

He's my Congressman, and he's a solid Conservative and would make an outstanding President.

That said...he hasn't a snowball's chance in h@ll of being elected President.
