I heard the veto will be overridden by the psychos on the city commission.

Gavin is one of the select idiots I had to put on military time, he’s right only once a day and that’s being generous.

If it is vetoed and becomes law, why can’t McDonalds just start charging, say, 2 cents for each toy? No more free toys, just a willing buyer and a willing seller, and everyone is happy (except for the food police.)

That’s exactly how I would handle it if I had a McDonald’s franchise there. I would call out the media on the day it started and have them televise me selling them for $.01 just to yank their chains too.

It would seem to reflect his desire to remain viable to run for state-wide office.

My thought is to sell the toy and give away the food!

It's a mere performance.

Mister Newsom is handed a simple opportunity to get some easy cheap ink that makes him look reasonable and wise (he is neither).

Even a rabid liberal has to, on occasion, note the absolute idiocy in his world view. But don’t worry; the lobotomy effect will kick back in shortly.

It's pretty bad when Gavin Newsom is the sanest one in the city government.

I wonder how much of an interest he or family members have in McD franchises.

He was elected lieutenant governor of California on Nov. 2nd, so he’s leaving the mayor’s office soon anyway.

sell the toy and give away the food!

Even better!

Happy Meal Toy: $2.99
Happy Meal: Free
Sticking it to the SF food police: Priceless

Governor Moonbeam and Lt. Governor Newsom! Why would any sane person stay in California? Especially when they aren’t going to have the money to keep the felons in tjhe slammer.
