A good candidate! As he has acknowledged, though, he needs to lose weight quickly if he’s going to run.
They won’t widen the pedestals like they did for Ted Kennedy if the Republican is fat.

I hear he has a problem with pardons down there. What’s up with that?

FWIW I think Hayley Barbour will be the next POTUS.We could do a whole lot worse. And probably will.

The Deep South governor was Jimmy Carter.
Haley Barbour has his work cut out for him.

Looks fine. I updated the link for you (only mods can do that).

I am excited about this news. Barbour is an old Reagan guy and has values. I’d believe him over Palin any day.

A Reagan Republican with executive experience. Now that is an intriguing prospect. I will have to keep an eye on him.

Barbour has had a very successful tenure as Chair of the Republican Governors Association. I expect he has gauged his support among them and knows what support he'd have should he make the run.

So you think it is funny. Take a look outside and see the true joke. I’d go back to Reagan days with Barbour any time.

Barbour is an old Reagan guy and has values. I guess that's why he was Southern Coordinator for the John Connally campaign against Reagan in 1980, a fact he'd like us to forget.
Barbour supports the power of eminent domain over private property. He's no Reaganite.
'Course as that Gerald Ford man, Dick Cheney, said, "We're all Reaganites now." Guess that makes it ok. LOL.

He has already joined the Mitch Daniels, anti-social conservative chorus, and tried to marginalize the tea party types by dissing Glenn Beck and Governor Palin.
