Thompson said Nelson will make his final decision on whether to run "when it's time to focus on 2012." So it's not a final decision. I think he'll probably discover a need to spend more time with his family when he focuses on his next move.

I hope he's history. We need senators and reps that think of the whole country and not just their state or district anymore. I live in Nebraska, and the kickback was an embarrassment.

Punctuation is important! Your headline is totally misleading as to what the headline states and what the article says!

Amazing how many centrist mid West moderate dems vote the same way as a avowed Socialist from Vermont.

So what does he want to do now, come over and embarass the GOP with another kickback scheme?
I don't trust dem-to-GOP party switchers, to me they're RINO's on steriods.

Heineman (not running) and Bruning (running) both crush Nelson in this poll released by the Nebraska GOP.

If we’re dismantling Obamacare one piece at a time, removing the Cornhusker Kickback would be a priority.

The worthless, lying SOB shoveled BS about being conservative and representing the will of the people of Nebraska. Wonder of wonders, the state GOP went further toward supporting him than they did the GOP candidate. This time around bad hair Ben is on the way out and I hope he stays out of state permanently. He is a democrat and democrats lie, cheat and steal; they are not our friends they are enemies of the Constitution and the Republic.

Don’t remove the Cornhusker Kickback, make it apply to all of the states. It just amounted to an exemption like the ones applied to unions and other groups.

I agree, I don’t think he’s considering changing parties. The headline could be interpreted as implying he’s switching, IMHO.

Did you hear old Bennie on the radio (KFAB) today saying the vote indicated that people wanted the Dems and Pubbies to work together? If he truly believes that, it’s time he retire.

Go ahead, Benedict, seek re-election. I’ll be happy to vote to hand you your arse on a platter. Get out of Omaha and Lincoln and this guy is incredibly unpopular. He thinks we’re all so stupid we’ll forget about the hellcare fiasco.
