I didn’t know he was still alive. His last bid for public office was in 2002 when he was defeated in the US Senate race by Norman Coleman.

As a Minnesotan, I can only say ENOUGH ALREADY. Will these idiots never leave us alone? They are so in love with themselves, they must be looking in the mirror 90% of the time and saying over and over, “I love myself, I love myself, I love myself to death.”

“Humorist” Garrison Keillor. Now that’s a laugh. Garrison Keillor is a partisan hack who got rich off of taxpayer money. He’s an arrogant ass who makes nasty comments about conservatives every chance he gets, all on the taxpayer’s dime. The sooner this “humorist” is forced off the public teat, the better.

Maybe Keilor can put him in a skit with Guy Noir where Guy (a private eye) tracks down Mondale as a missing persons case...
To: WOBBLY BOB
Will Mondale admit that he was never elected to an office except after he was appointed?
His entire political career resulting from kissing the right behinds. He was first appointed to every office he held, to fill a vacancy. He was only able to win an election with an incumbent advantage.
Some might point out that isn't true for the office of Vice President. But, I maintain that he was appointed VP as well -- Carter was elected, and Mondale went along for the ride.

Mondale got a book published? Some editor should be fired and a publisher should go out of business.

To all,
I know that Garrison Keilor is a leftist. However, I will say that his show is very good. When politics enters into it, it is humorous most of the time and not mean. I remember listening to his show when President Reagan died. That’s how I found out, listening to his show. It had happened only a few minutes before he went on the air. He gave a very warm and respectful announcement about it. You can read about it here:

Not mean? Don’t think so. When I hear him go on his political rants on “Prairie Home Companion” it sounded like he was off his meds and in full blown Bush Derangement Syndrome.

They are so in love with themselves, they must be looking in the mirror 90% of the time and saying over and over, I love myself, I love myself, I love myself to death. If Garrison Keillor ever looked in a mirror, he'd turn to stone.

Keillor is also a horrible, dedly boring writer. While I was still in the Book-of-the-Month Club one of he books I rceived and din't return, as I should have, was his Lake Woebogone Days. I really did try to read it but gave up in disgust beause it was so totally boring. Every one of his stories might end with something funny but, to get to the nugget, I had to read thorugh endless, utterly boring drivel. By the way, I've read all of Atlas Shrugged (3 times), War and Peace, and Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, making me a pretty determined reader.

I do enjoy listening to A Prairie Home Companion after a Saturday of doing all the things that pile up all week. To me it’s a relaxing end to my busy & often enjoyable Saturday before an evening of cooking and a movie jumps in........a cat or two is usually on the bed, a good magazine or book........

I realize that this is an all-MN event but imagine the wild, sell-out affair it could be if they added the clueless, arrogant, demented-wonder Jimmy Carter to the line-up.

Have often wanted to be a fly on the Mondale wall when the news came to him that his daughter was “playing around” with Bubba in the oval office and this made Monica jealous...
I guess it’s a case of “noblesse oblige”!
To: WOBBLY BOB
Seeing how Keillor is the Walter Mondale of writers—a liberal who hides his attitudes behind this folksy-gentleman facade—this makes sense. I’d love to have the No Doze concession at this wingding.
