To: Bean Counter

I would be for this, even with Olbermann, except it was in his contract, and (why is this fact omitted from most of these articles?) he put these three people on his show multiple times. How would these folks react if Bill O’Reilly invested in a product and had the manufacturer on his show multiple times without mentioning that fact?

He signed the contract to make his millions. He violated that contract, and used his show to promote these candidates.

I’d love to see the Huffington Post’s reaction when someone who’s signed a contract with them violates it. I have a feeling it’ll be a different story.

You don’t get to just decide a contract isn’t fair and get to vioate it.

How about this—if it’s truly this free speech thing, how about Olbermann finishes out his contract...for the payment of one dollar? I mean, if this is only about free speech and all.

He donated to one candidate on the same day he interviewed her. That is generally a no no pretty much everywhere in the media.
