Of course she wants him back. Supposedly his "show" is one of the highest ranked on msnbc. Given their steadily failing ratings, they can hardly afford to keep their "star" (such as he is) on the sidelines.

I think this is a thinly veiled ploy to get some air time on other networks, generate a little self-created controversy, and attempt to look fair and unbiased. {snort} Epic fail.

Bingo! I was thinking the very same thing. This seemed too deliberate on part of MSNBC and this is their way to gain attention of non-viewers of MSNBC by making this a breaking news stories other networks (including FOX) will cover, basically killing 2 birds with 1 stone:

1) distracting people and the MSM itself away from the election results.
2) a way to make themselves newsworthy and their vain attempt to gain viewers.

Wow she is unwatchable. Does this kind of crap go over good in the north east?

That’s some serious whining and bitching, awful.

Keith is a liberal, so am I. There are other people on this network whose political views are shared openly with our viewers. We are not a political operation. FOX is. We are a news operation.

This is satire, right? Bad satire?

I googled "Is Rachel Maddow transgender" and a lot of results came up, but I still can't tell if Maddow was/is a man.
And I ain't about to pull his/her/its pants down to find out.

I think it was a move to roughly ease him out instead of Comcast throwing him out when they take over due to his low ratings.

Maddow’s entire “defense” of Olbie was to bash FOX. She never mentioned that Olbermann broke the rules. Her claim that MSNBC was a “news organization” made me LOL.

If Olbermann comes back, we’ll know it was a publicity stunt.

"The rules around here are part how you know. Keith Olbermann attracted the ire of the right-wing and raged against what he saw as the errors and sins of the previous administration"

On her part, this is fear talking -- if Comcast can dump Dolbermann without warning, Madcow knows she's next.

Not sure how to feel about this. Olby is a tool of the highest order and should be fired because his show sucks but he did break the rules that NBC sets for their employees. Whatever Fox does is irrelevant, why can’t they just focus on themselves.. the comparisons are like schoolyard cries by little kids as their parents drag them home for punishment.

What really gets me is that these people feel that they’re not biased and actual journalists. He says that with a straight face like they actually believe it. They think that hating the country, mocking and demonizing people that actually love the country is somehow normal and unbiased. They need to gut the organization and start over if they are to have a chance because it’s a rotting corpse.
