I want his fat butt in the White House or Blair House.
This guy is just amazing.
I hope he will finish term cleaning house and run in 2016
It’s a start. When he’s finished fixing NJ, can we send him around to the other states? Could he lead governor tutorials for the other govs?
Most of the NJ state employees are represented by CWA. I know because I was once.
JMO, but he should withhold raises until the private sector catches up.
Yeah, there’s something wrong with the math there definitely....
i don’t know about you guys, but up here in Canada I’m pretty sure all public employees must be in a union. We’re pretty union saturated up here.
they may notice an INCREASE in service....it might scare the rest of them into working hard for their pay.
Everyone whoo-hooing the elimination of 1300 state workers earning $6700 a year is a bit dumb! Those are the ones you want to keep.
Add Delaware to the listing of lost causes.
The people of Delaware are losing their jobs, their homes and their entire hard-earned way of life because of the Socialist/Marxist philosophy (including the Culture of Death) and destructive policies forced down their throats by Democrats and the current Administration. The voters of Delaware just endorsed the policies of corrupt Democrats that may continue their losses of jobs, homes, and way of life. What were they thinking?!!!
In OH, it's AFSCME.
They should withhold raises while the state is running a deficit.
That would certainly invoke a positive dynamic.
There is a SERIOUS problem where the Major Cities across the country become cesspools of crime, corruption, and welfare recipients, who believe that they have a "Right" to be funded from government handouts, which are the earnings of others, channeled to them for their continued votes. Right now, the Country is almost reaching the tipping point (50/50) between those who actually produce and work for a living self-sufficiently, and those who think they don't need to work, as it's just handed to them (including those who are not even U.S. Citizens).
1300 workers is far less than the natural attrition rate of 20 year state workers. Just by attrition alone from a hiring freeze, that should come to about 2,700 employees per year. That’s if you eliminate not one job. If you cut jobs with attrition, they should be able to knock abot 4500 bottles off the wall each year for a decade.
Chris Megerian must have gone to an Ivyleague journalism skewel. You know, the one where math is an elective for geeks.
Works for me.
Yes.
Michael Savage and a few lawmakers know that this country has too many unqualified and illegal voters. The Democrats continue to fight tooth and nail against voter identification cards that would ensure one person one vote.
Savage suggests that people on welfare should not have voting privileges until they get off welfare simply because they have a conflict of interest to support politicians who promise them more benefits (by stealing from those who work).
Our forefathers believed that only responsible citizens should have the right to vote. We are way outside of such a common sense policy.
I clearly understand that feeling.
Those who can vote themselves benefits, at the expense of others, now are in such numbers as to offset legitimate American voters. (Lots of the voters in that bunch are not even U.S. Citizens).
The beginning of this was when the "Civic Duty" of being in a public office position became a career; as opposed to leaving private life for a term, and doing your duty, and then returning to family and your private life. Now, we have a government that is purely a business and power arrangement, rewarding friends, and buying power with other peoples' money.
I'm afraid there will be no way out of this situation until the next Revolution returns the American Way.
Exactly!!! If Christie were to move on too quickly the democrats and the unions would go back to business as usual. We (not just New Jersey) need for him to stay and finish the job so that other governors will be empowered to stand up against the democrats and the unions.
Wait a minute !!!
There a 55,000 DMV employees in NJ
Am I reading that right ?
