This one definitely comes under the rearranging-the-deck-chairs-on-the-Titanic category. Dionne is his usual stunningly out of touch self, his premises are the usual delusions, and his conclusions are the usual bad advice.

What is significant is not that the Republicans have somehow magically defined the battleground despite 0bama's hold on the White House, the Senate, the House, and the vast majority of the entrenched media, but that all of the latter have failed to sell a sow's ear to the public as a silk purse. There's no magic involved, only a public rightfully resentful at having been lied to in '08. Dionne and the rest of the liars don't appear to realize they've been caught out and their message dismissed. They should be concerned with that, it's their livelihood.

What amazes—amazes—me is that, somehow Dionne has found that he can continually expose his thinking and believe, along with the Washington Post, that it is somehow relevant to the situation at hand. His arrogance . . . Well, I’ve said it, and I should quit.
