Ugh, I’d love to get rid of Stabenow. I think Carl Levin is too entrenched.

DE can be won back with (yikes!) Mike Castle in 2012.

How so?....... This election was for the remainder of Biden’s seat which he won in 08 and won’t expire until Jan. 2015.

Conservatives in the South could make even greater advances if we were not still under the heel of the 1965 Voter Rights Act. The first thing my spouse said looking at the headlines this morning was, “Now, maybe we can get rid of the really ludicrously gerrymandered political districts we have in North Carolina.” Nope, I said. Any changes have to be approved by the Justice Department. States named under the Voter Rights Act are essentially treated like occupied territories. Please, look at the districts created for electing NC representatives to the US House. To allow citizens to have their votes count — one man, one vote— we need help. FORTY-FIVE years of humiliation (by Democrats and Republicans) is enough. Free the Voter Rights states.

I haven’t verified this, but I read that of the Senators up for re-election in two years, all the republicans were survivors of the anti-Bush wave of 2006 (impressive), all the democrats rode the anti-Bush wave of 2006.

That is bad news for democraps.

Hmm....I must have misunderstood.

I was under the impression that Coons’ seat was up again in 2012, per Rove. Maybe his misspoke and I took it as gospel. LOL

The race in 2012 SHOULD be a slam dunk for the reps IF they have the guts. Oblahblah has given them opportunities to destroy him IF they can get up the courage to use them. Images of him bowing to foreign leaders, things he has said about the Constitution and the AMerican people as “enemies” are just a start.

Reps are famous for not fighting hard enough. Let’s see if they have learned anything.

We have zero - ZERO - vulnerable seats.

I think Scott Brown will be vulnerable. Mass was the only state in the country that went against the wave last night. It cemented itelf as the most liberal state in the union. And with Obama at the top of he ticket, it will make it tougher for Brown.

Brown must be scared sh*t. I think you'll see Deval Patrick run against him.

Best opportunities:

Retirements (Bingaman, Akaka)

Ohio - Sherrod Brown vs ?

North Dakota - Conrad/retirement vs ?

Wisconsin - Kohl/retirement vs Paul Ryan

Missouri - McCaskill vs Talent?

Nebraska - Nelson vs Heineman

Florida - Bill Nelson vs ?

Michigan - Stabenow vs Land/Rogers/?

Montana - Tester vs Rehberg

Virginia - Webb vs Allen

We'll have some work to do on our own seats as well.

Dick Lugar is a republican, but he should be targeted for removal in the primary. Sadly my choice to do that, Mike Pence has decided to run for governor. Lugar has been in the Senate for waaaaaay too long and has totally lost touch with the people of Indiana.

If they don’t retire on their own it would be a good time for the tea party to replace Lugar and Hatch.

We have zero - ZERO - vulnerable seats.

Maine, Nevada, Massachusetts.

Snowe wouldn't lose (normally) but she may be primaried (I think she'll win primary). Ensign needs to retire. Brown will have a close race but should win.

When you have them realing and on their heels, keep hitting them!

And they need to be hit daily to discourage any shenanigans during this lame duck session of Congress, before the new people are sworn in.

Many of these Dims up in 2012 can be made to think several times before they support any partial or comprehensive amnesty schemes, or repeal of DA/DT, or cap and trade schemes, that might crop up during the final weeks of this Congress.

Brown would love to face Deval in 2012. It'll be a bloody primary on the D side, one would hope.

Shouldn't we get rid of Ensign too? I mean this would be outstanding to have Sharron to run against Ensign in the primary. Ensign is not of conservative principles after his shenanigans.

Amen,brother.

My little town here in Alabama can’t expand its city limits without Justice Department approval. The people want it, even the black folks (tax revenues would go up), but that side of the town is “too white”, and would upset the careful racial balance created by the Feds.

We are not free.
