Ah, but he might be right. Those we elect in still have to prove themselves. No riding the gravy train, etc.

McCain is correct. People who voted for Obama in 2008 and voting GOP now are not voting for far right conservative values. They are voting against Obama and his BS 2k page Obamacare bill that will kill this country, among other things.

Mark my words, the worst thing that can happen is for the GOP to get in there and push a social agenda. Cut spending, shrink the size of the government or hand it back over to the Dems in 2-4 years.

Jim, he's right on this.

No way is this election an affirmation of Republicans.

I can hardly wait for the PRIMARY of 2012 to start weeding out some of our state hacks.

Yes, he is. But he’s also right about this. The Republicans are benefiting from Free Republic-what, a 15 year precursor of the Tea Part-and the Tea Party movement. They’ve betrayed us before and will do so again if they are give an inch to do so.

The old duffer is sharp as a tack (sarcasm), it’s an afformation of conservativism not the party,
if they don’t get it we will send them packing too!

God Bless America, if it can happen here it can happen
anywhere. World take note.

Here in Ga, the day started dark and blustery, nasty
looking, now the winds are calm and the sun is shining,
a harbinger of things to come?

On to Victory in 2012 with Sarah Palin!

This is the guy Arizona decided to have represent them for another six years. If they’re going to use this poor judgment, we should be allowed to vote on him too. He represents us too unfortunately.

Well here we are. And sadly, this guy has formed a group of Senators that will haunt us for years to come.

That is the single biggest poopie diaper of this election.

John should be made to wear it on his head business side down.

McCain is only saying what is truth. The last time we had any kind of majority, we blew our political capital raising taxes and building a bigger government. Does anyone remember the bridge to nowhere? That was funded on our watch. If we don’t get it right this time, we’re going to give the government right back to Obama and his Kenyan bandits.

McCain is an idiot.

What about this do you disagree with?

"The moral of this story is that this election is a repudiation of Obama and the Democrats," McCain said on Fox News. "It is not an affirmation of Republicans. So Republicans have got to come through and satisfy this outcry — this anger and frustration — that's been expressed."

In other words, John, the Republicans need to try to not be like Obama and the Democrats and, oh, yes, like you.

Yeah, but I don’t know that he’s not right on this one. What I think this election will be is not necessarily an affirmation of Republicans, but an affirmation of conservatism...an affirmation that we don’t WANT a massive, overreaching government taking over our health care, taking over our wallets, taking over the education of our children, in fact, taking over our lives.

It’s an affirmation of what we want the Republicans to do, not who they are. If they follow through and stop the leftward slide, and start bringing us back to the conservative American values we want, so be it. If they don’t, the magic “R” won’t protect them one bit in two or six years. They’ll go down just like the Rats are today.

...............McCain is an idiot............

Sorry Jim, he may be an idiot, but this time he’s right!

We’re getting an opportunity to govern; after the perception that we blew it leading up to 2006.

McCain is trying to tell us that we had best be leaders amongst this dismal swamp, and turn around government for the betterment of the US. We don’t have the executive branch, maybe only one of the legislative branches, and if another SCOTUS judges retires, we lose Judicial.

Let us not thumb our noses in the air, as Zer0 is wont to do, but use our victory to strike down the damage of the past four years,(or decades)and steer this country back to conservative principles.

2012 is the next opportunity!

I don't agree with McCain. I think it WAS a vote for Republicans......Republicans who are constitutionalists, representatives who espouse the Tea Party principles of:

1. Smaller government
2. Less spending
3. Less regulation
4. Lower taxes

When you do these, jobs and prosperity will take care of themselves.

Retire, McCain, you need a big rest.
