McCain has kind words for former reform ally Feingold on Election Day

With most predicting he will go down in defeat, Democratic Sen. Russ Feingold earned compliments from his former GOP ally, Sen. John McCain, on Monday.

The Arizona senator and 2008 GOP presidential nominee has campaigned hard for Republican Senate candidates this cycle while sharply criticizing their Democratic rivals, such as Sens. Barbara Boxer (Calif.) and Patty Murray (Wash.) But McCain saved kind words for Feingold (Wis.), with whom he worked on landmark campaign finance reform legislation eight years ago.

Poor McCain. He is going to miss his partner in crime in shredding the First Amendment.

Sigh... I don’t get McCain.

On some things he is so conservative (abortion, military etc) and on others he is practically a socialist.

I mean.. I really admire his service to our nation...He has personally done more for this country than I have....

But.. how he reconciles that ..with admiration for a communist like Feingold is beyond me...

I pray for McCain....maybe the scars heal very slowly....
