Via my good friend Jim Vicevich, lets see if we can hear the dog whistle in this clip from ABCs election coverage. George Stephanopoulos runs through the generic ballot numbers in the final WaPo/ABC poll and sees a nine-point flip from registered to likely voters, for a final 4-point Republican lead. Diane Sawyer then suggests how easily that, er, some folks could change the elections: A few busloads of people can change a Congressional elections.
Check out the video here.

Hmmm.
The former Junior Miss and Nixon White House staffer sure does know about those busloads of dead people.
Gee, Diane, I didn’t know you were this smart and savvy.
Mike must be impressed, ay?

It’s a moot argument anyway because the GOP generic lead is a lot more than four points.

I saw Diane Sawyer at the 1984 Republican Convention. As a volunteer I got a floor pass. Me and my buddy John were standing sort of behind her about ten feet away. She was waiting for a cue or something from someone and was looking partially in our direction. John pointed towards her and said, “Look at that mustache!” She actually flinched and slowly put her hand up to her face. It was a hoot.
