Cuyahoga County, Ohio, Not Coming Out in Big Numbers
NRO ^ | November 2, 2010, 2:31 P.M | Jim Geraghty

Over in Ohio, Third Base Politics sends word that the Board of Elections Director for Cuyahoga County – the one that includes Cleveland – is on pace for 430,000 out of about 978,000 registered voters, roughly 43 percent turnout.

For perspective, the county made up almost all of Obama’s margin of victory in Ohio in 2008. Obama won 458,422 votes in this county in 2008, and beat McCain by 258,542 votes; Obama’s margin in Ohio was 262,224.

Democrats Ted Strickland and Lee Fisher needed big margins out of Cleveland, and so far, it’s not coming together for them.

Hopefully, that means The Messiah Worshippers in downtown Cleveland are on the street, doing their usual “thing”, and in the suburbs, the numbers turn out to offset all the Fraud mail-in and absentee ballots the Dem’s always have there. Cleveland is a mecca for the welfare voters.

Don’t be complacent. Everybody VOTE!

Based on what I saw at the polling place [SoCal] the Democrats are out in force.

43% turnout in a mid term election year is actually on the high side.

normal mid-term turnout is between 36-40%. Anything over 40% is considered high turnout.

However, posting as a representative sample of Cleveland-area Freepers, we already voted by absentee ballot.

Republicans vote in the midterms, the Democrat lumpenprolietariat don't. The Dems can consider themselves PWNED this election!

Here in Arlington, VA, when I went there was basically nobody there, which would seem to bode really well for republicans.

However, I've read others who have said that turnout seemed surprisingly low in more conservative areas as well. This could just be a low turnout midterm in general.

Don’t be complacent. Everybody VOTE!

In big conservative El Paso County, CO, the local media has reported turnout looks to be in record numbers as of this morning.

GOTV! I’m still calling and working a polling place later. Dim turnout is fairly high here in N. TEXAS.

I was told by an Ohio Freeper no longer with us that if Cuyahoga County Democrats sit on their hands, it’s a Republican victory!

They better start greasing those million palms quick! The voting day is about to expire in the East.

If they could somehow remove Cuyahoga County from Ohio, Ohio would be a solid red state most of the time. Not a swing state.

“That may not be good news for Dennis the Menace”

Let’s hope so!

On the other hand, I read where over 1/3rd of the expected total were absentee (ie democrat) ballots this time.

That said, I live here and I do have to say that the number of dem signs, etc are exceptionally low this time. I think the dem party is basically sitting this one out because of county level problems (our comissioner and auditor were indicted, adn the auditor already copped a plea).
