Romney called me tonight.

Actually, he robocalled me. Wanted me to vote for Philpot.

I hung up on Romney about eight words into his spiel.

I voted for Philpot last week, and I don’t care much what Romney says about anything.

Well, the candidates Mitt called about must be going to win easily, because pols like Mitt show up at the end and claim it was their “help” that achieved the win. We saw this in the first Coburn campaign in OK. The Republican establishment didn’t want anything to do with Coburn, but during the last week of the campaign, a bunch of sleazes showed up from out of state and tried to take over. Then they could say they helped Coburn win.

It was a disgusting spectacle, and I wonder what all the homeschool kids who had really done a lot of work for Coburn thought of the whole process. The outsiders treated ordered them around and treated them like dirt. It certainly increased my disdain for politics.
