Morgan Freeman is certainly a big liberal and I’m sure he was paid well for doing this. He does have a great and distinctive voice though and the ad will probably help Lawson’s campaign.

I see. Everybody is a Washington Insider.

Say, is it true that Mr. Freeman is going to wed his step granddaughter?

If true, that really creeps me out.

Freeman has always been one of my favorite actors and his voice is extremely pleasant (for lack of a better word) to listen to. He’s ‘narrated’ a couple of his movies such as Shaw Shank Redemption and The Bucket List. I bet the ad will be a good one.

I’m impressed that he would agree to do this.

I’m still waiting to buy a Morgan Freeman talking GPS.

“Go down the road, just past Ms. Burke’s house, you know, the small white house with so many petunias and azaleas springin’ up like fire from the hearth. Then you take a left towards the old oak tree than Bing and Joe use to swing from ‘til Bing got drafted and shipped to Vietnam and Joe got married. Then proceed 2 miles to the Kroger’s, and don’t forget to greet Donna if she’s smoking a cigarette outside.”

My initial reaction to this was to think that here, in Morgan Freeman, at least one black actor has left the Hollywood plantation and is thinking for himself. I’m hoping that not all black actors are commie libs like Danny Glover, et al, running down to Venezuela to hug Chavez.

I hope Freeman did this for patriotic reasons, and NOT just for the money. As successful as he’s been at his craft, I cannot imagine him needing money that bad that he would sell his voice for a cause he dislikes.

Also, isn’t FREEMAN a great name for someone who’s left the plantation and is living his own life?!

Whatever Morgan Freeman’s political or ideological leanings may be, he has always been a gentleman. I have no problem with him at all.

In somewhat related news, if the emails I’m getting from MoveOn.org in the Triangle area (yes, I’m on their list, for intelligence gathering purposes....oddly enough, I’ve found no intelligence there yet), the lefties are having a SERIOUS problem finding enough volunteers in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro/Durham area to fill out their relatively modest request for volunteers to hand out material at polling places tomorrow.

To give you a hint, the latest email from this morning had the subject line “please please please.”

The desperation is palpable.

I got 3 extra votes for Lawson, beside myself and wife.
Two of them have never voted.

It’s ashamed candidates can get away with outright lies and omissions in their ads, by law.
Price and Etheridge ads are pounding the idea their repub opponents want to raise the sales tax to 21%.
No mention they also want to get rid of income taxes.

I have heard conservative things about him in the past.

I have always liked him.
Now I have another reason.

Perhaps being around Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon has turned Morgan Freeman away from Marxist ideologies.
