Stifled by feminism

Republican Sharron Angle famously told Sen. Harry Reid to "man up" during a Nevada debate this month -- the implication being that Reid is a wuss, or not man enough to do his job. You'll get no argument from me, but I did note Reid didn't fire back at his opponent. That's because feminists have taught him well.

When faced with whether or not to make a disparaging remark about the female gender, most men know to keep their mouths shut.

In politics today, women can do and say whatever they want about the opposite sex, but men can't do likewise. "You can't come back on gender grounds to a female candidate," says Kathleen Hall Jamieson, director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania.

Campaigning for governor of Massachusetts in 2002, Mitt Romney called the histrionics of his female opponent "unbecoming" -- and feminists exploded in tantrums of accusations that he had used a sexist word.

The double standard -- that women have free rein when it comes to gender issues but men don't -- is evident on every front.

Debating in Missouri, Democrat Robin Carnahan used the "man up" reference in a debate with Republican Roy Blunt: "If you want to repeal health care and let insurance companies go back to their worst abuses, Congressman, then repeal your own first, and man up and do what you ask of other people to do." Even Sarah Palin chimed in by asking GOP politicians to "man up and spend some political capital to support the Tea Party candidates."

Just what does the phrase "man up" mean?

I dont understand those man up and grow a pair comments made by some female politicians. They are basically insinuating that a woman is not capable, which to me seems against their own interests. I dont even understand what feminists are “fighting” for these days...other than the destuction of the family unit.

Each one who says that has her motives, I suppose...in Angle’s case, I’m sure she was just playing off Dingy Harry’s Casper Milquetoast image and record of being a party hack. A follower, though he is the “Leader.”

What is modern feminism about? Great subject to be explored, along with a number of other social issues, once we can get a handle on the economic destruction which, you probably agree, overshadows most everything else.

I just watched a documentary that explores feminism, “The First Blast of the Trumpet Against the Monstrous Regiment of Women.” Netflix has it.

Maybe ... but I think it's because he was too stupid to formulate a clever response in the allotted time. Blaming feminists for Harry Reid is the outside of enough, already.

At its core, feminism is socialism. It's socialism applied to the genders - ie tearing down a group with an advantage, real or perceived, which in this case happens to be men. In socialism you achieve equality not by lifting those at the bottom, which is much harder. Far easier is to cut down those at the top. So Modern feminism set as its goal tearing down men in every conceivable way until all natural male advantages such as physical strength, competitive attitude, rational side of the brain.. etc are gone and the sexes are indistinguishable. Abortion also factors into this, though abortion doesn't involve cutting down men. Abortion to them was the great equalizer in that it allowed them to be promiscuous just like men(even if they were biologically not suited for it) and have random and responsibility free sex.

So it makes perfect sense for the feminists to side with the political Left whose basic philosophy is cutting down other groups they see as having an unfair advantage -- such as the rich, Christians, western civilization, men, heterosexuals etc.
