Pagans, like Native Americans would be given two choices: Submit, that is, become Muslim, or die.

They wouldn't get the choice to live as second class citizens, pay a tax and keep their own religion.

I was told by a theology ptofessor that “People of the book” refers specifically to Catholics and no one else.The Koran tells them to hunt and kill Jews not to protect them and muslims do not recogize any religion that came after their’s like Protestism did.
