The only dirty trick in this race is voting for either Kirk or Giannoulias. This is one of the most unfortunate races in the nation. The way Labno has been treated by conservatives and the media has been the biggest travesty I've seen in a long time and for what. Oh yes we have to protect Kirk, someone who has screwed us over and over again.

Who is US Senate Candidate Mike Labno?

" You're one of the few Dem candidates who agreed to let me campaign with them."

"Yeah, but don't stand too close to me at the rally
Don't mention stimulus, healthcare, TARP, and summer of recovery."

" And please take your hand off my a**."

“The only dirty trick in this race is voting for either Kirk or Giannoulias.”

Bears repeating.

So how does it feel helping Alexi? Pretty good? Get used to saying “Majority Leader Shumer” for the next 6 years.

Yep, I figure Giannoulias was supporting Labno. Most likely with funds Alexi pulled out of his family’s Broadway bank before it collapsed.

Beats the heck out of ensuring that the Republican side of the Combine is represented at the Federal level for the next 18. At least in six years we can dispatch Alexi Mosely-Giannoulias.

The two flyers I received clearly stated in cigarette Surgeon General Warning size type that this was from the Lake County Democrats.

I can understand some of your feeling about Mark K., but I can’t understand not voting for him. Not voting for him will ensure Alex G. a win. I would far rather have Mark K., with all his faults, than Alex G. The time to fight was in the primaries. My opinion and that’s my rationale for voting.

I do know that in the past I have written to Mark K. about some of his votes, and his response was much better than responses I ever got back from Durbin or Obama.

A vote for Giannoulias means you are for the following:
- Cap n Trade
- no repeal of Obamacare
- Card Check legislation
- Continued government waste, corruption & spending
- helping the Dems keep the majority in the Senate
- Raising the Debt Ceiling again

Maybe it’s time to rethink your priorities

Majority leader Schumer? What a joke LMAO!!!

He's next in line to be Majority Leader in the Senate. That's a simple fact. If we don't take the majority in the Senate, he WILL be the next MJ.

Period.

I don't like Kirk any more than you do but at this point a vote for ANYONE BUT Kirk is a vote for Alexi.

So go ahead with your ideological purity and enjoy Majority Leader Shumer.

The reason we have Obama is because the ILLINOIS REPUBLICAN ESTABLISHMENT pushed out Peter Fitzgerald. Putting in their man (Kirk) is much dumber.

If you are concerned about the Republicans getting the Senate, how about concentrating on Raese or Fiorina? Kirk and Murkowski are the ones who will pull a Jeffords/Specter/Crist maneuver if it serves their vanity.

I just received my third flyer from the Dems, accurately portraying Kirk as pro Cap and Tax, while promoting Labno the Libertarian. What kind of candidate do we have when the Democrats see it as worth their while to send flyers attacking him to Republicans?

Labno is polling at 3.6%. Sure wish it was higher, but it’s not and he hasn’t a sliver a of chance this time around. I do hope he runs for office again.

A Giannoulias loss is a HUGE and very personal loss for 0bozo. That’s the singular reason why I will hold my nose and vote for the weasel Kirk.

Not too strong on basic mathematics, are you. Run the numbers again and get back to me.

The magic number is "51". Kirk can get us there. I loathe him as much as anyone else. But facts are facts.

A vote for ANYONE but Kirk is a vote for Alexi.

Period, end of sentence, new paragraph.

What's so funny about that? It'll happen. And it aint no joke. A loud contingent here said that a few years of obama socialism was preferable to McCain's RINOism. Teach those milquetoasts a lesson. How's that working out? If you don't like Kirk, give him the hook when his term is up, and avoid the (democrat) middle man. Besides, it will give Giannoulias a chance to go to jail, where he belongs, rather than to the senate, where he would be safe and would actively be doing irreparable damage.

First, a number of the items on the list would come true with Kirk, anyway. Being from NY state you are familiar with corrupt and stupid state Republican parties. Kirk is Dede Scazzofava, he is worse than Castle, as bad as Weicker and much younger.

In this election, conservative Brady is likely toi win the governorship by 8-10 points. DIABLO RINO may win or lose by 1-2 points. This puts the lie to the fact that one must be a "moderate" (as defined by the enemy) to win in Illinois. If we come out and vote for him, when he has conceded NOTHING, we will get more like him coutesy of the same people who chased out Peter Fitzgerald, paving the way for Obama.

It's pretty pathetic. Here is Labno, a 3rd party candidate who has absolutely no chance of winning at all, is probably splintering off a percentage point or two from the Republican nominee, and is being actively supported by the Democratic Party - yet some people here (yourself included) are still taking the bait and falling for it hook, line and sinker.

The way Labno has been treated by conservatives and the media has been the biggest travesty I've seen in a long time and for what.

What? Why should conservatives treat him well? Labno is running as a Libertarian, not a conservative. Smart conservatives should be trying shame Labno into realizing he's basically an idiot for running 3rd party in the first place and taking needed votes away from Kirk.

Oh yes we have to protect Kirk, someone who has screwed us over and over again.

Kirk won the primary. Your argument is with Illinois Republican primary voters. Call Kirk a RINO and every other name in the book and I'd agree with you - so long as you vote for the Republican nominee in the general election. I happen to think COD is an abysmal candidate, but I would definitely vote for her were I a resident of Delaware.
