As the entire housing finance market is dependent on Fannie and Freddie, there would be a blood bath. Right now, because financing laws, there will be no new money for home loans.
No win situation here. If we get out, we crash. If we stay in, we crash.
I wish but I doubt that will happen with all the payoff’s the banks made to Obama and Frank and Dodd, etc. who would the banks dump the rest of those toxic mortgages on if not the taxpayer through Fannie/Freddie.
