Democrats Tout Libertarian to Peel Votes From Kirk

Illinois Democrats are using the long-shot candidacy of libertarian Mike Labno to peel off conservative voters in the southern end of the state from Republican Senate candidate Mark Kirk.

A flier obtained by Washington Wire appears to be a Labno promotion. The first page is a picture of Rep. Kirk, asking “Congressman Mark Kirk, not a conservative?” with a quote from Mr. Labno questioning Mr. Kirk’s political beliefs. The next panel touts “Conservative Mike Labno” as “the only pro-life, pro-gun candidate for U.S. Senate.” It then portrays Mr. Kirk as a tax hiker who voted for President Obama’s climate change legislation and opposes Arizona’s restrictive, anti-immigration law.

Only on the last panel do readers see Democratic Senate candidate Alexi Giannoulias. “While Labno and Kirk fight over labels, Alexi Giannoulias is fighting for Illinois jobs.”

Alexi thinks he is being cute. Today the Republican Director of the Illinois Tea Party endorsed Labno. Every principled conservative in Illinois should vote Labno.

Who is US Senate Candidate Mike Labno?

Do you have any update on the TPE Delaware poll that you said “would be released soon”?

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2613657/posts?page=33#33

I wouldn’t mind at all if a Libertarian picked up a lot of votes from Conservatives in Illinois and Kirk lost.

Especially if we win in DE and CT.

I would, willingly and happily, vote for Mike Labno, if I lived in Illinois! The D is a true leftist with problems, and the R is a fake conservative with problems! Even the Constitution Party candidate endorses Mike Labno for ‘10 Illinois U.S. Senate! Vote for the TRUE Conservative, Mike Labno! Jeez, what’s so hard about this? Do people really believe that a Senator Mike Labno would vote against the Republicans for Senate Majority Leader? Come on!

I hope third-party voters are starting to get a clue and realize that it only helps Democrats.

Mike Labno is my choice. I never voted for a libertarian in my life before but with two liberals running on the two major parties, there is no other place for a conservative to go.

You’d think that Republicans would run Conservative candidates so that this sort of cr@p would fall flat on it’s face.

Hmmm... like the TEA parties. I guess Delaware hasn’t gotten the message yet.

Conservatives voting for the libertarian or any third party = DEMOCRATS WIN.

As a conservative, do you want the Democrats to run the country? Didn’t you have enough yet?

Consider the CONSEQUENCES of your action — this is not a “feel good” election, the future of the country is at stake.

I hope the corrupt Republican machine in Illinois gets the clue that they can’t push moral conservatives into voting for a man who thinks its OK to suck the brains out of babies. I can’t vote for Kirk. End of story. Finis. Kapoot. Why do they do this? Who has bought them, lock, stock, and soul?

Labno’s not perfect, but he may be the only choice of conscience for Illinoisans who still think they owe it to God to not vote for devils out of a purported expediency.

They never get the clue. They just feel good about their supposed principled vote which ends up yielding zilch other than making them FEEL good. Leave the feelings to liberals and be logically pragmatic. I hope they’re proud playing into Obama’s strategy here.

RCP Average: Kirk +2.8
RCP Ranking: Toss Up

It’s a tight election — voting third party WILL allow the Dems to win and maintain control of Congress!

Have you consider that?

Sure, when the GOP nominee is a Conservative, it would be bad to vote 3rd party.

If the GOP Establishment didn’t learn its lesson, and put a RINO up there, and most seem to think Kirk is a RINO, then it might be valid to send a message.

Kirk was the “electable” one. If he’s not elected, and the tea party conservatives are, what argument do the liberal Republicans have?

I’ve heard NO MORE RINOS before somewhere.

Nah, just NO MORE RINOS.

And I thought that Kirk was “electable”

They have to learn that if the GOP candidate isn’t Conservative enough, they’d lose votes from the right.

The “hold your nose and vote for the lesser of 2 evils” just won’t work anymore.

They’ll have to figure something else out.

It has absolutely NOTHING to do with feeling good. It makes me feel terrible. But I could no more vote for Kirk than I could intestinally kill a child. Can’t do it. Conservatism USED to be about doing what’s right, even when you get unpleasant consequences. Why? Because some values transcend earthy political fights. If we hold life to be an inalienable right, but we empower people like Kirk to destroy life, God Himself will be adverse to our purpose, and will NOT as Beck says, be able to rely on Divine Providence to come swiftly to our aid. If we sell our souls to gain our freedom, what then is really gained?

Labno has my vote since he’s the most conservative candidate in the race. Mark Kirk can K.M.A/

“The “hold your nose and vote for the lesser of 2 evils” just won’t work anymore.”

Then get ready for Democrat control of the US for eternity, turning the US into a third world communist country, run by a communist dictatorship.

I hope that makes you happy, because people like you who refuse to consider the consequences of their actions are keeping Democrats in power, when we actually have a chance to stop their anti-US, anti-free enterprise agenda.

I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but...you need to hold your nose and vote for the RINO. Whoever wins the Illinois race will be seated immediately in the Senate and able to help defend against the Democrats’ dying gasps in the lame duck session.

Even if there’s only a chance Kirk would help hold the line with a filibuster, that’s a chance we’ve got to take. Cap and trade, card check, I could go on and on...are you really willing to give the liberals another rubber stamp to move that along just so you can claim the moral high road?

Cap and trade, card check, I could go on and on

Are you aware that as a 10 year member of the House, the ultra liberal Kirk, voted for cap and trade?
